Introduction:
About the Role
As a Customer Service and Bookings Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals to live with independence, dignity, and choice. You’ll be the friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for people accessing transport services, providing advice, taking bookings, and ensuring each interaction is respectful, calm, and person-centred.
This role supports individuals accessing a range of transport services, including the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), Community Assistance and Temporary Supports (CATS), NDIS Transport, and fee-for-service transport. Your work will directly enable people to attend appointments, stay connected, and live well in their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and information about CRCS transport services and eligibility
- Take and manage transport bookings
- Deliver high-quality phone-based customer service
- Support scheduling and coordination with the logistics team
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
- Promote a person-centred approach that supports each individual’s goals, choices, and independence.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong commitment to the CRCS vision, purpose, and values, including care, respect, honesty, optimism, and resilience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm phone manner
- Experience in administration and/or customer service
- Ability to work calmly and flexibly in a busy environment
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and use booking and program software.
- Working towards or holding a Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- Understanding of CATS and NDIS Transport access and eligibility requirements.
