Part-Time Customer Service Assistant – The ZipYard Galway

With over 50 retail shops across Ireland and the UK, The ZipYard is the leading clothing alterations business on the high street.

The ZipYard Galway is looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Part-Time Customer Service Assistant to join our team.

If you enjoy working with people, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a busy retail environment, we’d love to hear from you. As the first point of contact for our customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service while supporting the day-to-day running of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers and providing a warm, professional welcome.
• Discussing customers’ alteration requirements and accurately booking garments into our system.
• Processing payments and operating the till.
• Managing customer collections and ensuring garments are returned correctly.
• Answering telephone and email enquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment.
• Supporting the seamstress team with general administrative and customer service duties.

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills and confidence using a till system.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.

Hours:Part-time, permanent position with flexible hours available. Saturday availability may be required.

Pay:€14.15 per hour
