When you join DB Breweries, you join the global HEINEKEN whanau, where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, contribute their ideas, learn, and grow as part of one of the largest beer and cider brewing companies in the world spanning 70 countries.

We believe diverse views make great brews, and the vibe in our team is very much reflected in our four values: PASSION for consumers and customers, CARE for people and planet, ENJOYMENT of life, and COURAGE to dream and pioneer. We offer a great range of employee benefits and positive culture which includes:

  • Free health, life and income protection insurances.
  • 5% employer contribution to your KiwiSaver.
  • Free monthly allowance of beer, RTDs, cider or zero alcohol beverages.
  • 50% employee discount at Star Hospitality venues.
  • ‘Enjoyment of Life' leave (an extra day each year to do something you enjoy).
  • A range of other benefits including generous parental leave provisions, free confidential counselling support, digital wills, feminine hygiene products, retail discounts and more.
  • Free learning and wellbeing tools and leadership development programmes.
  • As a member of Mind The Gap, we’re committed to addressing gender pay gaps and we’ve also supported the Pacific Pay Gap Inquiry.
  • Flexible work arrangements for roles that can be performed remotely including work-from-home up to two days each week.
  • Free parking.

As DB’s Demand Planner, you will drive accurate demand forecasts for our beer, cider, and RTD brands, ensuring optimal inventory, minimising stockouts, and maximising customer service. You'll gather market insights, collaborate with key stakeholders, and influence data-driven forecasting to support business growth. Playing a key role in the monthly S&OP process, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for driving zero loss.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop accurate short- and long-term forecasts using AI-based tools, integrating market intelligence and sales data to improve accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to incorporate promotions, new product launches, and competitor insights into forecasts.
  • Monitor and enhance the AI forecasting tool, ensuring seamless integration with promotional planning and finance systems.
  • Align demand and supply plans through the monthly S&OP process, presenting insights and data visualisations to stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships, influence forecasting inputs, and ensure clear communication of demand-related insights.
  • Maintain Excel models, analyse trends, and drive efficiency through process optimisation and Heineken’s continuous improvement programme.
  • Apply analytical skills to resolve demand planning challenges, minimise losses, and contribute to long-term business strategy.

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning, preferably within the FMCG industry (experience in the beverage industry is a plus).
  • Fast learner with growth mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation. Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with AI-based forecasting tools or other sophisticated planning systems is highly desirable but not a must.

This is more than just a numbers game—it’s about shaping the future of DB Breweries through smart, data-driven decisions. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for forecasting and a knack for problem-solving, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note: We are not accepting candidates from recruitment agencies for this role.
