Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software- Abeldent, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment
• Assist the dentist during various procedures including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
• Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
• Manage patient records using Abeldent software
• Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow, similar to a dental receptionist role is an asset
• Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly and comforting atmosphere
• Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation for each patient visit
• Assist in the fabrication of dental appliances or models as needed

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with dental software including Abeldent is preferred
• Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry practices
• Ability to operate CAD systems for digital impressions or modeling
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control standards

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
