Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, administrative capabilities, and a passion for the patient.
Duties
As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Taking and dental radiographs (X-rays) and CBCT scans
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
- Assisted hygiene
- Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Utilizing dental software such as Dentrix
Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- X-Ray certification with 1yr dental experience
- Proficiency in using Dentrix
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, and procedure knowledge
- Experience with customer service and patient care
- Ability to work well within a team and independently without being micro-managed
