Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team, we prefer someone with experience, but will train the right person. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation in compliance with clinic protocols.
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for use.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure high-quality patient care, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to assist effectively in procedures.
- Experience in a dental clinic environment with a focus on assisting during various treatments.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- A compassionate approach towards pediatric dentistry, ensuring children feel comfortable during visits.
