Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable working with patients of all ages, including children, and is knowledgeable in various aspects of dental assisting. Fridays and Alternating Saturdays.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries as needed, functioning also in a receptionist capacity when required.
- Assist with pediatric patients, providing a comforting presence during their visits.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure the office is well-stocked.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting is preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics, orthodontics, or other specialized areas is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist is preferred but not mandatory.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: $22.10-$25.26 per hour
