Development Officer
- Permanent Full-Time position (35 hours per week)
- Salary from $88,648.96 to $95,959.75 per annum + 12% superannuation

Do you have an interest in design-led urban renewal or property development? Do you have a passion for working in a team and collaborating with a broad group of stakeholders? Do you have experience or knowledge of project management, administrative or finance systems?
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated person to join the City Revitalisation and Renewal team as a Development Officer. You will play an invaluable role supporting the team and assisting with the delivery of end-to-end urban renewal and development projects on council owned land.

About Role:
You will be responsible for undertaking project administration tasks such as consultant and contractor procurement and management, providing support for the team, as well as assisting with urban renewal project and property development related activities such as preparation of due diligence reports, development of business case, feasibility studies and financial models that allow Council to make informed decisions about viable projects consistent with the strategic direction.
This is an opportunity for you to learn more and develop skills in design -led urban renewal and property development.
What we are seeking:
- Qualification in Property, Project Management, Development, Planning or similar / related disciplines or relevant experience in property, development or planning fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or education and training.
- Knowledge of relevant property, development, construction, planning related legislation and statutory requirements and commercial and financial matters.
- Experience in project management, ability to apply project and contract management knowledge, experience and skills.
- Sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to build collaborative and consultative relationships with stakeholders and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, including respecting differences, leading, supporting others, accepting direction, and working to achieve agreed objectives and goals.
- Demonstrated resilience, well developed organisational skills and the ability to cope effectively with pressure, meet deadlines and work objectives, while sustaining high levels of effort and energy, together with the ability to accept changes in priorities and adapt quickly to the changes.
- High level computing skills in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite.
