Spruce Lodge is looking to hire a permanent part time dietary aide. Come join our team and make a difference for our residents!
We are looking for a positive, hardworking individual to join our team! The candidate must be physically capable, and have strong organizational skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good reading and communication skills are required. If you are looking for a fast paced job with variety, this is the job for you. The successful applicant will become a part of the Nutrition Services Team and will work in our kitchens in the resident living areas. The hours for this position are 7 am to 3 pm. Potential cross training in our main kitchen is available to increase the amount of hours working for the right candidate. The main kitchen shifts have hours varying from 6 am to 6 pm.
You will receive 9.5 % in lieu of benefits in addition to the posted rate. You also will be enrolled in OMERS pension plan and Spruce Lodge matches these contributions at 9%.
We require all candidates to have a safe food handling certificate which can be obtained on line at www.ingoodhands.ca (or be willing to obtain one before you can start), a vulnerable sector police check, and a 2 step TB skin test.
We have free onsite parking and offer an Employee Assistance Plan for all employees. Staff working full shifts also receive a complementary meal each shift.
Every other weekend is required and statutory holidays could be included.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.78-$22.53 per hour
