The Role:

Reporting to the Design / Project Lead, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to promote a company’s products, services, and brand for the group of companies (OIC Foods, Brar's, etc.)


Responsibilities:

Technical Requirements

  • Digital Marketing Strategy & Campaign Planning.
  • Content Strategy / Creation.
  • Social Media Management (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Google Ads & Meta Ads Management.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) & Performance Reporting.
  • Email Marketing (Mailchimp) & SMS Marketing (SimpleTexting).
  • SEO Research & Website Optimization.
  • Copywriting & Copy Editing.
  • Content Calendar Management.
  • Basic Canva / Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge.

Researching Market Trends (Restaurants, Products, Happy Dairy)

  • Research and monitor digital, social media, and consumer trends relevant to the food and restaurant industry.
  • Analyze competitor campaigns, engagement strategies, trending content formats, SEO keywords, and platform updates.
  • Identify products, services, or campaigns requiring increased digital support and awareness.
  • Research and coordinate creator/influencer partnerships aligned with campaign objectives and brand positioning.

Developing and Managing Content for Digital Platforms

  • Oversee digital content development for Restaurants, Products, and Happy Dairy campaigns.
  • Develop campaign briefs, creative direction, messaging, and publishing schedules for internal teams and content creators.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, approvals, and communication with content creators, vendors, and internal creative teams.
  • Review and approve creator submissions, captions, digital copy, and campaign assets before publishing.
  • Ensure all digital content aligns with approved brand standards, messaging, and campaign objectives.
  • Oversee content calendars and publishing schedules across all digital platforms.

Digital Campaign Management

  • Lead the execution and rollout of digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, SMS, and paid advertising channels.
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, approvals, creative assets, and stakeholder communication from concept to launch.
  • Manage Meta and Google Ads campaigns, including monitoring, optimization, and audience targeting.
  • Oversee campaign QA, testing, deployment, and reporting processes.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with department heads and senior leadership regarding brand initiatives and campaign direction.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Oversee campaign and website performance monitoring using GA4 and platform analytics tools.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards tracking KPIs, including engagement, CTR, CPC, CPM, ROAS, conversions, and website traffic.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide optimization recommendations based on audience behaviour and digital insights.
  • Present campaign performance summaries and recommendations to leadership where required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree/diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years experience working in Digital Marketing.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and web-based software programs.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
  • Ability to ensure quality of work and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management skills, with an ability to prioritize important tasks and projects.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Annual compensation of $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year depending on experience.


Location:

This is a fully on-site role currently working at the 190 Statesman Dr, Mississauga, ON L5S1X7 location. The incumbent may however be required to work at any place of business which the company and its sister group of companies has or may acquire in future.
