**This is a remote position for candidates all over Canada. There is a chance we will move into an office in the GTA, however, we will always offer WFH employment.

If you spend your time researching TikToks while in the bathroom (IYKYK), sign up for every brand newsletter or SMS list you can just to see if their messages can convince you to buy, embody Picasso to craft the perfect digital visual asset, writing ad copy that isn’t painfully cheesy gives you life, love posting engagement bait on Threads, get in the zone while writing blog content that’s actually interesting, can invent Reel hooks that inspire thumbstops,can write engaging SEO/AEO copy for any web page in the snap of a finger, get dopamine hits from watching your digital metrics climb, aren’t afraid to lean into software and AI to make your job easier (work smarter, not harder!) without sacrificing quality, are always leveraging data to optimize your content, and really just want to create digital content that inspires tangible results… while doing it all in sweatpants, from home, in front of the TV, then have we got the job for you!

We are hiring a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist to research, strategize, ideate, create, write, and refine engaging and results-driven digital content across multiple marketing channels such as organic social, lifecycle (email & SMS), and web to help our clients reach, engage with, and convert their digital audiences, all as part of our “Full Circle Approach to Digital Marketing” methodology.

Founded in 2015, we are a 20+ person Shopify Plus digital marketing agency working remotely and based in Toronto. We do everything related to digital marketing including, but not limited to; paid and organic social media, email/SMS marketing and automation, website design & development, influencer marketing, content creation, branding and design, Ecommerce & Amazon management, US-based fulfillment, and online customer service, for clients across the world in industry verticals ranging from skincare, apparel, beauty, restaurants, home decor, CPGs, baby products, health and wellness, real estate, accounting, and more.

Some of our clients have been featured in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Forbes, Business Insider, GOOP, are sold in major retail chains like Walmart, Target, and Loblaws, and we even have a client who hosted the White House Correspondents Dinner!

WORK WITH US AND YOU WOULD BE:

  • Strategizing, Ideating, Creating, Writing, & Managing Digital Content Efforts: supporting on and owning the creation of all digital content across social, email/SMS, digital ads, and other digital touchpoints through the production cycle of strategy and ideation, drafting, editing, and finalization, while working closely with our Performance Analyst, Designers, Lifecycle Specialists, Growth team, our Strategic Account Manager, our Director of Brand Strategy, and any other relevant team members to create the most impactful and effective and channel specific digital content as possible, to reach and exceed client KPIs.
  • Analyzing and Optimizing: working alongside our Digital Performance Analyst, as well as other strategic team members, to analyze the performance of your deliverables, identify opportunities for improvement, and build plans to optimize your efforts for better engagement and results.
  • Collaborating and Owning Measurable Channel Success: contributing to the success of and/or owning the results of your produced digital content by following the strategic guidance of our Director of Brand Strategy, using the data and actionable insights generated with our Performance Analyst, collaborative brainstorming and ideation with the broader team, and leveraging your own channel expertise to always ensure that your content is performing at its best, and running A/B tests or other optimization efforts to improve results where necessary.
  • Learning & Leading Subject Matter Expertise: being the go-to person for all things digital marketing trends, platform and feature updates, and channel specific nuances, such as; the latest IG meme, the current best practices for SEO/AEO web copywriting, new TikTok features, email & SMS legislative rules and regs, and so one, while strategically collaborating with the team to implement your expertise into client deliverables to effectively contribute to In Social’s “Full Circle Approach to Digital Marketing.”
  • Contributing to the Full Circle Approach: being a team player and collaborating across all service verticals to understand, adapt, strategize, and deliver content that considers the entire customer journey, to deliver the best results possible to our clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: always improving your skill set, knowledge, and performance through self-development, training courses, webinars, as well as collaborating with, and taking feedback from, our Director of Brand Strategy.
  • Task & Time Management: ensuring that your assigned tasks are completed within given budgets and due dates, and collaborating with the Project Coordinator to make adjustments to project roadmaps if needed.

YOU WILL BE MEASURED AGAINST

  • Applicable digital metrics such as engagement rate, views, followers, open and click rates, SEO related traffic data, and other relevant digital metrics related to your deliverables (quantitative)
  • Your ability to be on, or ahead of trends and platform feature updates and bringing new ideas to the table (qualitative)
  • Your ability to produce and refine content within given timelines and budgets (quantitative)
  • Your strategic ability to flag/solve problems related to content and messaging (qualitative)
  • Your teamwork - everyone relies on each other for success! (qualitative)

TO WORK WITH US YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience working in a digital marketing capacity
  • At least 2-3 years of managing a portfolio of social media channels with tangible results
  • At least 2-3 years of other relevant digital experience such as writing email and SMS campaigns/automations, or web content like blogs or landing pages
  • Exceptional copywriting skills for digital channels
  • A strong grasp of digital marketing as a whole, and at an individual channel level
  • Experience writing for diverse industries and brand personalities
  • Examples of how your skills directly attributed to the success of digital deliverables
  • A good understanding of digital analytics and how to use them to inform content strategies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and include the code isdms2026 in your cover letter
  • An appreciation for a super casual work environment, while still knowing how to be productive
  • The ability to thrive in a remote environment by being an independent contributor, while still being able to connect and interact with your team virtually
