Imagination Station is a non-franchised, private daycare operating in the Ottawa –South since 2004. The daycare provides programs and care for both toddler and pre-school children.

Job Requirements

· Must be 18 years of age

· Registered Early Childhood Educator or in ECE program

· Police check for Vulnerable Sector

· Immunizations up-to-date

· CPR and First Aid Level C

Some of the duties as an early childhood educator are:

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
• Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
• Lead children in activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, demonstrating the use of simple musical instruments, preparing craft materials and demonstrating their use.
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
• Be aware of the skills, abilities, interests and needs of children.
• Discuss progress or problems of children with parents and other staff members.
• Attend meetings to discuss program matters.
• Knowledge of licensing regulations.
• Maintain the classroom clean and tidy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
