Our clients are a progressive and fast growing Electronic Equipment Repair & Refurbishment Company based in Dublin City, Ireland, specialising in Component Level Industrial Electronic Equipment Repair. They have a vacancy for an experienced Electronics Debug & Repair Engineer to join their growing team working on the bench in the workshop/Lab reverse Engineering & repairing faulty equipment. The Equipment typically ranges from Power Supplies (SMP's) and Power Inverters to Micro Processor Based Circuit Boards and Single Board Computers, PLC Controllers, Touch Screen Monitors and various other Electronic Devices. This is component level work requiring solid Debug knowledge, expertise and strong rework skills and experience.

The role involves:

  • Diagnosing and Repairing on the bench Faulty Industrial Electronic Equipment to component level
  • Identifying through iterative debug the root cause components related to the fault
  • Detailing appropriate corrective actions required including identifying suitable replacement parts
  • Soldering, reworking and replacement all necessary components
  • Updating the in house tracking system to outline the steps all technical activity

The ideal candidate should have Skills & Experience in some of the following:

  • Have a natural talent for repairing electronic equipment to component level
  • Have experience working on the bench repairing electronics at the component level
  • Qualified in an Electronic/Electrical Engineering discipline and have several years experience
  • Have specific knowledge of Power supplies (SMP's), AC drives/Inverters, & PLC's
  • Have knowledge working with Single Board Computers, Servers, PC's, Mobile Computer Devices and various Operating Systems (OS)?
  • Have expertise in high quality rework/repair (to IPC standard) skill on all SMT devices
  • Be comfortable working with power equipment
  • Fluent/advanced written and spoken English

Pay: From €50,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Debugging & Repairing Electronics at Full Component Level: 5 years (preferred)
  • Working on Power Electronics such as VSD/VFD Drives: 5 years (preferred)
  • Working with Single Board Industrial Computers: 3 years (preferred)
  • Reworking Electronics to IPC Rework standards: 3 years (preferred)

Language:

  • Fluent Written & Spoken English (preferred)
