Department: Pre-Construction / Operations
Reports To: Director of Operations / Project Manager
Job Summary
The Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are competitively priced, profitable, and aligned with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and project specifications
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for bids, budgets, and proposals
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Compare pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Prepare bid packages and assist in proposal preparation
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and field teams to validate assumptions
- Maintain and update estimating databases, cost histories, and pricing benchmarks
- Identify project risks and clarify scope gaps prior to bid submission
- Participate in bid review meetings and handoff meetings upon project award
- Support change order pricing and value engineering efforts as needed
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in construction estimating (commercial, residential, or multifamily preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Vu360, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, Sage, or similar)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multifamily, renovation, or interior fit-out projects
- Familiarity with local building codes and market pricing in the US
- Experience working with general contractors and subcontractors

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
