As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Estimator to join our team and support the successful delivery of modular construction projects.
Role Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for modular construction projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission. The role requires close collaboration with design, production, procurement, commercial, and project delivery teams to ensure estimates accurately reflect project requirements, manufacturing processes, and installation methodologies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new business opportunities while ensuring commercial risks are identified and managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
· Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for modular construction projects.
· Analyse project risks, opportunities, and commercial considerations during the tender stage.
· Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
· Liaise with design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and project teams to develop accurate pricing strategies.
· Prepare bills of quantities, material take-offs, and labour assessments.
· Develop pricing models for volumetric modules, fit-out packages, and associated construction works.
· Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
· Maintain and update estimating databases, cost benchmarks, and historical project records.
· Participate in tender review meetings and bid strategy discussions.
· Support negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors where required.
· Assist in preparing budgets, cost plans, and commercial reports.
· Ensure tender submissions are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
· Monitor market trends, material costs, labour rates, and supply chain developments.
· Support the handover of successful projects to the commercial and project delivery teams.
Qualifications & Experience
· Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
· 5+ years experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or commercial role within construction, manufacturing, or modular construction.
· Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building systems.
· Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
· Knowledge of modular, off-site, or volumetric construction is desirable but not essential.
· Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
· Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally if required.

Pay: €50,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
