Design Precast and Pipe, Inc. is looking for a skilled Estimator to support our operations by preparing accurate and competitive estimates for precast concrete and pipe projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for precast concrete and pipe projects.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to determine material quantities, labor costs, and other expenses required for project bidding.
- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the competitiveness and accuracy of estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for the estimation process.
- Monitor project costs, track changes, and provide timely updates to project stakeholders.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare bid proposals, review contracts, and participate in pre-construction meetings as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, cost factors, and material prices to ensure accurate estimations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on precast concrete and pipe projects.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating costs.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction regulations, codes, and safety practices.
