Event Assistant

As an Event Assistant on our fundraising team, you'll play an essential role in representing our charity clients during community-based events. You'll be the face of our clients’ brand, engaging with the community and potential donors to create a positive, lasting impression while helping to raise funds for important causes. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference and enjoys interacting with people in an event setting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Represent our charity partners with professionalism, enthusiasm, and energy to promote their causes and generate donations.
  • Ensure all promotional materials and giveaways are well-stocked, displayed, and organized throughout the event.
  • Maintain a clean, inviting event space to create a positive atmosphere for attendees.
  • Engage with community members by initiating conversations, answering questions, and providing information about our charity partners and their initiatives.
  • Foster relationships between the charities and potential donors by being approachable, personable, and passionate about the mission.
  • Actively work to create a memorable experience that encourages donors to get involved and support the cause.
  • Participate in post-event debriefs to discuss successes, challenges, and areas for improvement to ensure continuous event growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Experience in fundraising, customer service, or sales is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for nonprofit fundraising and community engagement.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
  • Reliable transportation to event locations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $700.00 - $1,200.00 per week
