An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Event Manager to lead the delivery of cleaning and venue services operations at the iconic Adelaide Oval.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of event-day cleaning services, ensuring exceptional service standards, safe work practices and contractual compliance across one of Australia's premier sporting and entertainment venues.
About the Role
As the Event Manager, you will be responsible for leading event operations while managing a large casual workforce across a diverse range of sporting, entertainment and corporate events.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing end-to-end event cleaning operations across Adelaide Oval
Developing and managing event rosters to meet operational requirements
Leading supervisors and event cleaning teams
Monitoring labour hours and event budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery
Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level standards
Conducting quality inspections before, during and after events
Managing work health and safety compliance across all event activities
Overseeing waste management and resource recovery programs
Preparing operational reports and performance data
Building strong relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in operational performance
About You
To be successful, you will possess:
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale venue, hospitality, events or facilities operations
Proven leadership experience managing large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience preparing and managing workforce rosters
Strong financial acumen with experience managing labour budgets and costs
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and safe work practices
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer outcomes
Proficiency using workforce management and Microsoft Office systems
Desirable:
Experience working within major sporting or entertainment venues
Experience managing cleaning or facility services operations
Qualifications in Business, Management or a related discipline

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
