As the Facilities and Venue Operations Lead you will coordinate and support the effective management and operation of venues and facilities including maintenance of premises, infrastructure, and other resources to facilitate the efficient delivery of business operations and services to agreed standards.

Achieve success as the Facilities and Venue Operations Lead

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Contribute to the planning, organisation, co-ordination and oversight of operational and technical aspects of facilities management to ensure smooth functioning of business
  • Log, analyse and track maintenance requests to efficiently co-ordinate and process workorder requests for repairs, maintenance, and renovations to ensure speedy resolution of issues and incidents
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for effective contract management and supervision of work orders in accordance with policy guidelines and standards to maximise value of the contract
  • Maintain daily operational requirement of the business to ensure that works are carried out within agreed timeframes and according to priorities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises, prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules to proactively identify maintenance issues and incidents
  • Provide information to all customers and stakeholders regarding works that are being carried out that may affect their working environment or conditions
  • Monitor and address complex and/or sensitive enquiries and issues, including escalation of issues to appropriate authorities, to ensure the timely and effective resolutions of issues
  • Maintain awareness of work health and safety requirements, relevant issues, policy obligations, challenges, and opportunities to recommend innovative solutions that optimise outcomes and contribute to a best practice business support function in line with organisational and government priorities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all front-of-house enquiries, addressing visitor needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Manage event calendars, bookings, and resource allocation, ensuring all event spaces and facilities are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to arrange appropriate resources and equipment, security, audio/visual needs, and other event requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations for all front desk and event activities.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for ongoing employment at NSW Treasury, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
