We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team in Copenhagen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and growing scale-up company within an international group.
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Receivable (AR) team and the Accounts Payable (AP) assistant. You will ensure accurate cash allocation, reconciliation of client accounts, and handle various finance-related queries.
Main Responsibilities
- Cash Allocation: Allocate cash payments to client accounts accurately and on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile client accounts, identify discrepancies, and ensure they are resolved promptly.
- Vendor Approval Flow: Register invoices, assign accounts, and send for approval.
- Backlog Management: Help clear the backlog of unreconciled accounts to ensure the AR function runs efficiently and remains up to date.
- Support AR Team: Assist the AR Lead and AR Assistant in daily tasks, including cash collections and account management.
- Cover for AR and AP Assistant: Provide backup support during absences, ensuring smooth continuity of cash collections, payouts, and reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc Queries & Reconciliation: Handle ad-hoc queries related to finance and reconciliations, offering clear solutions and insights.
Profile
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a finance role with a strong focus on account reconciliation and cash allocation.
- Hands-on, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a drive to grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communicator who works well with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Experience with finance systems, ERP tools, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other accounting software tools.
