- Prime opportunity to join our Finance team.
- Fixed Term full-time position in a central Hawthorn location (until 30 April 2026).

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate provision of a range of financial and administrative services university-wide.
The Finance Officer provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers of the University. The incumbent is the initial contact point for a variety of enquiries from internal and external customers and is required to maintain a general knowledge of university finance and student financial policies, standards, and procedures.
The position plays a key supporting role in the maintenance and provision of a variety of financial and administrative services for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Student Financials.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- A strong commitment to client service principles and the ability to be flexible and responsive to client needs.
- Standard Microsoft Office skills in MS Word, Excel.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including attention to detail and the proven ability to organise work to meet finite deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional financial team.
- Experience working in high volume contact processing centres. Proven experience working to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Experience with Finance One and/or Student One (Technology One).
Qualifications
Completion of an associated diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or a certificate level qualification with post-certificate relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
