We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Duties

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations such as general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation processes using software like QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to SOX controls and implement internal audit procedures to strengthen financial integrity across all departments.
• Coordinate external audits, regulatory reporting obligations, and compliance activities for both non-profit and governmental entities.
• Develop and monitor budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership for decision-making.
• Supervise a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong background in public accounting or non-profit sectors.
• Deep understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
• Expertise in IFRS standards, GAAP principles, SOX compliance requirements, and governmental accounting practices.
• Proficiency with financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; experience with financial management tools is essential.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic planning and reporting purposes.
• Excellent communication skills for clear financial report writing and presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $68,839.24 - $82,903.17 per year
