Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the organisation's financial health and integrity. This role requires a strong background in financial management, proficiency with various accounting software like Sage, and excellent organisational skills. The Financial Controller will play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making processes, supporting the organisation’s growth and stability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage and supervise the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial data entry and analysis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
- Utilise accounting software such as , Sage to maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure prompt payments and collections.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the development of organisational budgets and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate audits with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and prevent fraud or errors.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within a recognised organisation.
- Extensive knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software , Sage systems is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial reporting standards.
- Experience in preparing detailed financial reports for stakeholders at various levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and collaborate across departments to achieve organisational goals. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
