Calling all want-to-be former CPAs!
We are interested in hiring an individual with a CPA background (tax or audit) who is interested in lifestyle and career change into financial planning. Several financial planners currently employed at Meridian Trust started out in public accounting and have learned the financial planning process. We believe the CPA background can make a large difference in serving clients in tax and estate planning, something that is extremely difficult to learn on the job without a CPA background. Any application will be expected to learn new financial planning skills, while possibly sitting for the CFP examination, if interested.
