Introduction:
Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island.
The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.
Description:
Daydream Island Resort is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team at Daydream Island. As a Part Time member of the F&B - you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
- Providing high-quality service to all guests in a professional and efficient manner
- Assisting with the setup and clearing of tables, ensuring a clean and tidy dining area
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and delivering them promptly
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Engaging with guests to provide menu recommendations, answer queries, and address any concerns
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintaining knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special dietary requirements
- Handling payments and processing transactions accurately
- Assisting with stock control and inventory management as required
- Upholding the resort's standards of excellence in customer service at all times
Skills and Experiences:
- Previous experience in a similar Food & Beverage role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
