Description:
Daydream Island Resort is seeking a Part Time Food & Beverage Attendant to join our team in Daydream Island. As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will be an integral part of the Food & Beverage department, contributing to the exceptional dining experience we provide for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
About us:
- Deliver high-quality customer service to all guests in the food and beverage outlets.
- Take and serve food and beverage orders efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
- Assist with food and beverage preparation as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while handling food and beverages.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Greet guests warmly upon their arrival at the restaurant or bar.
- Present menus to guests and provide detailed information when asked about menu items.
- Take accurate orders from guests using a POS system or order pad.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy of orders.
- Clean tables after guests depart and prepare them for new arrivals promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special dietary needs or requests from guests.
Skills and Experiences:
About You:
- Experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and fulfil guest needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- A positive 'Can Do' attitude and willingness to learn new skills
