Front Store Assistant

Health Centre Pharmacy has been proudly serving the St. Thomas and surrounding area for over 35 years! We are looking for a full-time Front Store Assistant to join our growing team! Reporting to the Designated Pharmacy Manager, the Front Store Assistant will:

• Work closely with the front store and pharmacy team to greet and assist customers in store and over the phone while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

• Accurately complete sales transactions and procedures, facilitate product returns, and assist with expiries and promotions using the point-of-sale.

• Communicate professionally with customers, healthcare providers, and suppliers.

• Order, organize and stock products in pharmacy and front shop.

• Maintain excellent cleanliness and organization of the front store, pharmacy, and stockroom.

• Complete a variety of administrative functions including faxing, filing, printing reports, etc.

• Promote and participate in maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.

• Keep up-to-date with product information and promotions.

• Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.

• Follow all SOPs as they relate to our various services.

• Actively promote services to grow patient base.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Previous cash/customer service experience is considered an asset.

• Willingness to work well in a team environment.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while working in fast-paced setting.

• Detail oriented and a self-starter.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required to liaise with customers and other health professionals.

• Great time management and organizational skills.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

• Flexibility to work shifts between our two St. Thomas pharmacy locations: Health Centre Pharmacy & Elmdale Medical Pharmacy, including evenings and Saturdays.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally lift or move up to 20lbs, occasionally use a ladder or step stool to retrieve merchandise, stock shelves, lift, bend, and reach throughout the day.

• Manual dexterity to operate POS, computer, phone, and other standard retail equipment.
