Position Summary:

The Labor Assistant, reporting to the Shop Foreman/Coordinator, plays a crucial role in supporting Service Technicians at all levels within BarrelEye. This entry-level position involves a variety of tasks that are fundamental to the operations of the service department. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the disassembly of downhole tools, pressure washing parts for inspection, organizing and moving washed parts, painting and stenciling assembled tools, and stamping serial numbers on tools. Additional duties involve emptying garbage and recycling bins, maintaining cleanliness in the shop and yard, and conducting snow removal as needed. This position requires a basic understanding of mechanical processes, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment, while actively contributing to process improvements within the Operations Group. Furthermore, for motivated individuals demonstrating skill and commitment, there are opportunities for training and advancement into Service Technician positions as they become available.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pressure washing dirty tool’s

- Painting & Cleaning assembled tools

- Conducting daily pre-use inspections of equipment

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized shop and yard environment.

- Provide support to management and collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency.

- Handle various additional duties as assigned to support the company’s operations and goals.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Preferred: Experience with Downhole Oilfield Tools.

- Preferred: Experience with forklifts and powered cranes.

Skills:

- Attention to detail

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending, crouching, kneeling.

Schedule:

- Split Shift Details (Shift rotation will occur every week):

- 1. Day Shift (This shift will follow a set schedule each week and will not include weekend work):

- Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 6:00am to 3:00 PM

- 2. Afternoon Shift (On-Call - this shift may be required to work additional hours based on operational needs)

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime as required, including weekends.
Hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm

Additional Requirements:

- Scheduled on-call rotation for after-hour orders.

- Ability to work flexible hours; including weekends if required

- Knowledge of downhole oilfield equipment is beneficial.
