Applications are being sought for the position of General Operator in the Production Department, on a fixed term (temporary) contract for 12 months. This is a day shift position.
Specific training will be given to the new employee, but in general the duties are:
- Work at assigned workstation(s), following the correct instruction sheet to ensure the products are manufactured to specification, and to deadlines required.
- Prepare and pack products for shipment to customers, which includes creating and printing shipping labels.
- Use the company specific computer system to record work completed.
- Ensure work equipment is used properly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Maintain the work area in an orderly, tidy, and safe manner.
- Work with colleagues to set up/take down machines, and to carry out stock takes.
Taconic is seeking applications from individuals who are technically inclined, with an eye for detail. Candidates must have the ability to work as part of a flexible team, at times with minimal supervision, and must be willing to complete all tasks assigned on time.
Basic knowledge of computer use is required. At least intermediate level of English, spoken and written, is required.
Leaving Certificate or equivalent is required.
Some experience working in a manufacturing role would be advantageous, but not necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: €14.25 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
