General Superintendent

We’re looking for a General Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple commercial project sites. In this key role, you’ll lead site teams, ensure quality and safety, and help us deliver high-impact projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Visit active job sites weekly to check progress, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure field operations are running smoothly. (approximately 90% travel across OH, WV, VA, PA, KY)
• Provide boots-on-the-ground support and consistency across locations.
• Coach Superintendents and field crews to perform at their best.
• Provide hands-on leadership that builds confidence, skills, and accountability.
• Be the go-to resource for less-experienced site leaders.
• Oversee and enforce strict job site safety protocols on all projects.
• ​Conduct safety audits, lead by example, and keep every site OSHA-compliant and incident-free.
• Work with each site team to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure that any deviations from the plan are identified early and corrective actions are implemented to stay on track.
• Ensure construction work meets the company’s quality standards and project specifications across all sites.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and self-perform crews to resolve field issues, maintain quality, and optimize productivity.
• Be the bridge between job sites and senior leadership to provide updates on project status, challenges, and successes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (not required).
• 5+ years as a Superintendent on commercial projects ($1M+).
• Skilled in schedule/budget management, plan review, and field coordination.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire field teams to deliver outstanding work.
• Proficiency in Procore is a must. Comfortable using project software and digital tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (90% travel required).
• Deep understanding of OSHA standards. OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willing to obtain company-paid).
• A clear communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments and isn’t afraid to take the lead.
