Job Description:

As a Ground Worker at Suirside Construction, you will play a crucial role in preparing construction sites and supporting the overall construction process. This hands-on position involves working closely with the site team to ensure safe and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site preparation and clearance
  • Excavation and trenching for foundations, drainage, and utilities
  • Installing and maintaining kerbs, paving, and footpaths
  • Setting up the site with barriers, safety signs, and huts
  • Operating heavy equipment as qualified (if applicable)
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Ground Worker in construction
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • In-date Safe Pass, manual handling certification, and a full clean driving license required
  • CPCS/CSCS card or equivalent is preferred but not essential
  • Additional tickets and qualifications are advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €21.59 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Waterford, County Waterford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Construction Ground Worker: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Manual Handling Certificate (required)
  • Safe Pass (required)

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (required)

Work Location: In person
