Description

Cowper Care is seeking applications for the role of Healthcare Assistant for its Nursing Home in Dublin.

This is a Full-time position – 39 hours per week. Cowper Care is an equal opportunities employer

Garda Vetting and Police Clearance will be required for the successful applicant.

Applicants must submit a detailed CV outlining all relevant experience/training to date.

About The Role

The Health Care Assistant will:

  • Maximise the independence of the resident to achieve the highest possible quality of Life.
  • Afford every opportunity to the resident to live and die with dignity.
  • Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to residents, promoting their independence and equality at all times
  • Provide direct resident care by undertaking personal care tasks e.g. assistance with washing, dressing, bathing, eating, toileting
  • Participate in care planning and alert nurses regarding any changes in the physical and mental state of the residents
  • Contribute to the moving and treatment of residents to maximise physical comfort
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for the residents, staff and visitors

Applicant Requirements

  • Experience in a nursing home environment or relevant experience
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Desirable Criteria: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support
