About Us:
Brindley Healthcare Services trading as Leixlip Oaks is committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals in a residential setting. We believe in going the extra mile for our clients and understand that providing care in a residential setting involves much more than assisting with personal care needs, household chores or escorting clients to appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
To share with other staff in meeting the personal care and support needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independence. The care and support provided by Care and Support Workers is expected to include support that would reasonably be given by members of the service user’s family and is not to include tasks that would normally be undertaken by a trained nurse.
- Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, washing, toileting, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging independence and well-being.
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
- Assist with rehabilitation exercises and moving clients safely using mobility aids.
- Accurately document care activities and report any changes in client condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control, and fire safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or relevant modules).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
- Strong communication, time management skills
- Compassionate, flexible, and committed to delivering high standards of care.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
