Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Working closely with operations the Assembly and Service Mechanic's chief duty shall be working with Böhringer's patented technology and structures, “hands-on", with the Mechanical Assembly Team for the assembly of new mining and construction equipment. The role includes reading mechanical drawings, pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic schematics, and assembly of machine components, on brand new equipment. As a member of the team the Assembly and Service Mechanic will help maintain the company's high-quality standards and comply with industry and company standards to the best of their ability.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of heavy equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
• Reading mechanical drawings including assembly drawings and detail component drawings, assembly of precision machine components, as required, for assembly of brand-new machinery
• Installing brake and plant air systems
• Installing 12v lighting systems
• Mechanical installation of various systems, testing and assisting with pre-delivery commissioning
• Ability to keep records
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Engine and transmission installs
• Hydraulics system installs
• Participate in Safety and Quality Programs including Audits and Meetings as required

Skills

• Proficient in automotive repair with a focus on heavy equipment mechanics.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
• Experience using power tools and hand tools effectively in a workshop environment.
• Familiarity with electrical systems related to industrial equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Experience operating forklifts and cranes safely in a work setting.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing equipment issues.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
