Te Mahi/About the Position
Permanent Part Time Hospice Aide required to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. Ideal applicants will have a willingness to learn and contribute to the hospice service and have a genuine interest in palliative care whilst being dedicated to working with patients and families with palliative needs. Compassion will be at the heart of what you do.
This is a part time role for (0.6FTE) to be normally worked Wednesday - Friday from 08:30am to 5:00pm.
What you will be doing:
- provide excellent care to our patients
- build therapeutic relationships, with our patients, families / Whānau and visitors
- building great working relationships with our colleagues
- adhere to the organisation's policies and protocols to ensure safe delivery of care for all
He momo/About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- eligibility to work in NZ with a current Visa
- reliable transport to and from work
- high energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm
- excellent written, verbal, and oral communication
- previous experience as a Hospital Aide or similar
- great people skills that demonstrate empathy
- flexibility, ability to multitask and excellent time management
