Hospice Aide

Te Mahi/About the Position

Permanent Part Time Hospice Aide required to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. Ideal applicants will have a willingness to learn and contribute to the hospice service and have a genuine interest in palliative care whilst being dedicated to working with patients and families with palliative needs. Compassion will be at the heart of what you do.

This is a part time role for (0.6FTE) to be normally worked Wednesday - Friday from 08:30am to 5:00pm.

What you will be doing:

• provide excellent care to our patients
• build therapeutic relationships, with our patients, families / Whānau and visitors
• building great working relationships with our colleagues
• adhere to the organisation's policies and protocols to ensure safe delivery of care for all

He momo/About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• eligibility to work in NZ with a current Visa
• reliable transport to and from work
• high energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm
• excellent written, verbal, and oral communication
• previous experience as a Hospital Aide or similar
• great people skills that demonstrate empathy
• flexibility, ability to multitask and excellent time management
