We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring assistance in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support meal preparation and assist with feeding as needed.
• Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document patient care activities and report any changes in health status to nursing staff.
• Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
• Offer support for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through compassionate interaction.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
• Strong background in patient care and senior care practices.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
• Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs.

Monday-Friday 11am-12noon

Saturday-Sunday 12noon-1pm

This position is $20 an hour PLUS $40 gas card a month.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $20.00 per hour
