SOLE Seafood & Grill – Host/Hostess
Location: William Street South, Dublin 2
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (30–40 hours/week)
Schedule: Mainly evening shifts

The Role

As Host/Hostess, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests. You will ensure every guest is welcomed warmly, seated efficiently, and feels at home from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. You’ll manage bookings, phone and email queries, and support the seamless flow of service in partnership with the front-of-house team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive
• Manage reservations and phone/email enquiries
• Assign tables with consideration of floor rotation and guest preferences
• Escort guests to tables and introduce waitstaff when appropriate
• Maintain accurate booking information and update systems as needed
• Respond to guest questions and concerns with grace and efficiency
• Monitor flow of service and communicate with floor and management teams
• Support other front-of-house roles when needed
• Ensure the front desk area is always presentable and welcoming

Who We’re Looking For

• Fluent English speaker
• Previous experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting (preferred)
• Confident, calm and personable, even under pressure
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional service and attention to detail
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working varied shifts
• Strong team player with positivity and initiative
• Familiarity with reservation systems (an advantage)
• EU Passport required
