Duty Manager

The Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork is currently seeking an ambitious & self-motivated Duty Manager to join its core Management Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ideal candidate to learn the effective and efficient Management of all Hotel operations whilst on duty in a busy, fast paced & vibrant environment.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are required alongside a pleasant personality with strong focus on customer service.

The successful candidate must be able to work flexible days & flexible shifts which include evenings and weekends.

A minimum 2 years Supervisor / Management experience in a Hotel environment is Essential

Conference & Events experience would be of advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

* To undertake and carry out effectively all Duty Management duties to the required standard

* To have a visible presence within the Hotel and ensure the smooth running of all departments whilst on duty.

* To assist in the operations of functions /weddings / events in the Hotel

* To resolve guest complaints in a friendly & efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction at all times whilst maintaining the Hotel's reputation. Record all feedback and strategise with relevant departmental Managers.

* Working knowledge of Hotel based reservations system Opera & MICROS POS an advantage

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

* min 2 years previous experience in a Hotel Duty Management / Senior Supervisor Role required.

* Hospitality / Travel & Tourism Management Qualification an advantage

* Office Administration & Computer Skills

* Knowledge & Experience of Micros

* Knowledge & Experience in Opera Cloud GMS (Guest Management System)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €35,500.00-€37,000.00 per year
