Introduction:
Partner with leaders. Shape culture. Drive workforce performance.

At Liberty Industrial, we don't just deliver complex demolition, decommissioning and remediation projects: we build the teams that make them possible.

As one of Australia's leading industrial services contractors, we deliver some of the country's most complex projects across the mining, oil & gas, energy and heavy industrial sectors. From large-scale refinery and processing plant closures to mine rehabilitation, power station decommissioning and major infrastructure demolition, our work plays a critical role in helping industry transition safely and responsibly.

We're now looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team and support our continued growth across Australia.

This is a genuine business partnering role where you'll work closely with operational and functional leaders to drive workforce performance, employee engagement and organisational effectiveness. You'll support a diverse workforce operating across corporate offices, project sites and remote FIFO locations, partnering with leaders and employees across project management, engineering, construction, commercial, HSEQ, skilled trades and blue-collar operational teams.

Description:
This role will see you:
  • Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, workforce performance and team effectiveness.
  • Provide practical employee and industrial relations advice across a range of workplace matters.
  • Coach leaders through performance management, investigations, grievances and workplace challenges.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, succession planning and organisational capability initiatives.
  • Contribute to organisational change, workforce transition and business growth projects.
  • Analyse workforce trends and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Champion continuous improvement across people processes, systems and employee experience initiatives.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a confident and pragmatic HR professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing outcomes and working closely with operational leaders.

Essential Experience & Capability

  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Experience supporting operational leaders within industrial, construction, mining, engineering, manufacturing, logistics or other project-based environments.
  • Strong employee and industrial relations capability, including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance management and workplace conflict resolution.
  • Experience implementing people strategies, workforce initiatives and organisational change programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, enterprise agreements and modern awards.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline.
What Will Make You Successful

  • Pragmatic collaborator with strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Deep understanding of employee engagement and experience implementing initiatives that improve engagement and retention.
  • Proactive, organised and committed to delivering quality outcomes.
  • High levels of confidentiality, professional integrity and sound judgement.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and partnering with leaders at all levels.
Nice to Have

  • Strong data acumen and confidence using HR technology and systems.
  • Change management experience.
  • Exposure to workforce planning, organisational development or leadership capability programs.
Why Join Liberty Industrial?

  • Work for an industry leader delivering some of Australia's most complex industrial projects.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders and influence business outcomes.
  • Be part of a collaborative and supportive People & Culture team.
  • Opportunity to contribute to organisational growth, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Competitive remuneration package and ongoing professional development opportunities.
