Junior Accountant

Salonkee is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team! This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a dynamic, fast-paced company.

You’ll assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and preparing supporting documents for VAT filings while gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining ledgers.

• Assist in preparing monthly and yearly financial reports.

• Help reconcile accounts such as bank accounts, payables, and receivables.

• Prepare and organise supporting documentation for VAT return filings to be submitted by our external service provider.

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

• Provide ad hoc support for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

What we’re looking for:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or a similar finance role.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and VAT processes.

• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Attention to detail and good organisational skills.

• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

• Good communication skills and team spirit.

• Fluent in English – German is considered a strong plus.
