Weekend shifts are mandatory for this position as well as some evening shifts which are 2-10.

This job posting is for a Kennel Tech position with an immediate opening. We are a busy and growing Dog Boarding and Training facility in Reisterstown/Glyndon area.

The employee will be responsible for keeping the dogs safe and clean throughout the shift. The tasks include but are not limited to:

- Provide daily care and supervision for animals in the kennel

- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs

- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas

- Walks and playtimes with dogs within fenced yards

- Administer medications and treatments as directed

- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns

- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and drying

- Maintain accurate records of animal care

Requirements:

- Previous experience in pet care, veterinary assistance, or related field preferred

- Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior

- Ability to provide excellent customer service to pet owners

- Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and physical activity

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions

- Ability to work weekends and holidays

-Ability to work indoor and outdoor, all year round

Note: This job requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling. It may also involve exposure to animal dander, cleaning chemicals, and potentially aggressive animals. Proper safety protocols will be provided.
