assisting cooks with food preparation (like chopping and measuring), maintaining kitchen cleanliness (washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste), managing inventory (storing supplies, checking stock levels), and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met. They generally involve supporting the overall function of the kitchen to ensure a smooth workflow.
