Cavan Crystal Hotel is a luxury 4* Hotel based in County Cavan. Cavan Crystal Hotel is an ideal destination nestled in the heart of the stunning lake county which is ideally situated in close proximity to many diverse tourist attractions.

The Cavan Crystal Hotel are currently seeking applications for a Kitchen Porter to join the Kitchen Team. A kitchen porter's role is essential in supporting the overall functioning of a kitchen, ensuring that the chefs and other kitchen staff can focus on food preparation and service. The ability to work efficiently, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen team are key attributes for success in this role. This position will involve working 3 to 5 shifts per week.

Requirements:

• Flexibility in working hours as role includes shifts in the morning/evening and weekends.
• Previous experience working in a Kitchen environment or similar is desirable
• Have a basic level of English
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

About The Role

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To maintain supply of clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots etc. for all outlets in the hotel
• To wash dishes, cutlery and glassware by operating dish washing machine
• To maintain HACCP standards
• To maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen department
• To maintain a clean kitchen environment by assisting kitchen staff by following standard cleaning practices
• To follow proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
