About the role

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the Matua Marlborough team.

In this role you will work as part of a multi-disciplined Laboratory team who provide technical service and support to our winemaking and cellar teams.

• Carrying out quality control checks via routine sampling, testing and reporting
• Trouble-shooting and problem solving
• Maintaining and improving quality systems
• Supporting other team members of a close-knit team

About you

• Be experienced in the use and maintenance of a range of laboratory instrumentation
• Ideally be tertiary qualification, preferably in a scientific field
• Be able to work flexible hours as required during our peak harvest period
• Show exceptional analytical, problem solving, attention to detail and organisational skills
• Prove yourself to be pragmatic, self-motivated, solutions and customer focused
• Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Practical experience in the beverage/food industry will be highly regarded
