Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality meals efficiently while maintaining excellent food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service experiences to our guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
- Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets quality standards
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a focus on serving guests with professionalism and care
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
Work Location: In person
