Kitchen Line / Prep Cook

The Lab by Mill Town Roasters is looking for an experienced Kitchen Line / Prep Cook to join our opening team.

This isn't your typical café kitchen. The Lab is a creative space where coffee, food, and innovation come together. From handcrafted breakfast and lunch to evening small plates, we're looking for someone who takes pride in quality, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing ingredients and completing daily prep lists
• Cooking and plating menu items with consistency and attention to detail
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
• Assisting with inventory, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service
• Upholding our standards for quality, presentation, and hospitality

What We're Looking For

• Previous commercial kitchen experience is required
• Experience working both prep and line is considered a strong asset
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Dependable, punctual, and a team player
• Food Safety Certification is an asset

Availability

Applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
