Days - Monday to Friday

Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Canada. This pivotal role will be overseeing all building-related maintenance activities and for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well-functioning so our employees can work under the best conditions. In addition to that, maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the warehouse facility, surrounding area and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Maintenance staff within the facility and external contractors
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health & safety standards, environmental regulations and local building code and bi-law requirements
• Check functionality and inspect buildings’ systems (electrical, HVAC, security alarms, etc.) and structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations; schedule repairs and service calls as required
• Conduct minor fixes and repairs (e.g. locks, doors, drywall, washrooms, lighting, etc.) and install appliances and equipment
• Assist Maintenance Manager in planning and coordinating all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments complying with negotiated lease agreements
• Assists with office and parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
• Promotes a safe work environment through knowledge of the Company’s SQF Program and commitment to a safe workplace for all.
• Provides excellent communication and partnership with the Warehouse Manager and SQF Specialist
• Coordinates the completion of all required maintenance required by the master Maintenance schedule.
• This role is a working Supervisor role and will participate in Maintenance duties as required.

Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies:

• Able to effectively work with external contractors, delegate, supervise Maintenance functions to achieve outstanding results.
• Must have strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills including presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong analytical & critical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve in stressful situations
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of safety standards and Industrial Accident Investigation Reporting.
• Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and a team player.
• Experienced licensed MHE operator with Train the Trainer certification.
• Well versed in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education & Training Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehousing facility activities at a Supervisory level including Maintenance activities
• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
• MHE Certification – Pallet Jack, Dock Stocker and High Reach
• WHMIS, HACCP

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
