PennEngineering is a global leader in the manufacturing of specialty fasteners and provide quality, value added products and services to our customers from our manufacturing and technical facilities around the world.

We are now seeking skilled manufacturing Operators with an interest in Engineering who want to become part of a highly motivated team based in our Galway manufacturing plant.

This is a hands-on role that would suit candidates with a good mechanical aptitude, a certificate in mechanical engineering, a trade certificate or equivalent training.

Our Shift Pattern:

We operate a rotating 12 hour Night shift.

Week 1 - Mon, Thurs, Fri ( 36 hours ).

Week 2- Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun (48 hours)

Night Shift Hours:

12 hrs- 19.00PM - 07.30AM

Responsibilities

• Ability to follow basic instructions given to him by supervisor, mentor or trainer.
• Ability to read a blue print.
• Perform quality checks on parts to blue print specification.
• Ensure smooth and efficient running of high-volume production machinery.
• Communicate with supervisor/mentor, any problems whilst running a Tape and Reel Machine.
• Work to production metrics and standard operating procedures to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure high quality product through quality Inspection of parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Work with quality/engineering and operations departments on continuous improvement & development programes.
• Compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.

What we are looking for:

• Good mechanical aptitude & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in the English language
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A good mechanical aptitude, a certificate in Engineering/Machining desirable but not essential.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• A team player mindset and a willingness to learn a new skillset
• Experience operating tooling/ mechanical machinery essential.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferable.

Employee Development:

All our operators work off a grading structure and they are evaluated twice a year based on their performance.

Grading Level

Trainee = €15.50

C2 = €15.95

C4 = €16.79

B1 = €18.05

B2 = €19.30

B3 = €20.57

B4 = €21.83
