Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional front desk support, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, medical terminology, and office management systems, particularly in medical settings. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates should be comfortable handling multi-line phone systems and performing administrative tasks that support patient care and clinic efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage appointment scheduling using electronic medical records systems
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and other administrative paperwork
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Experience
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred
- Proficiency with computers systems and electronic medical records systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures in healthcare settings
- Demonstrated ability to handle front desk responsibilities efficiently while multitasking in a fast-paced setting
- Previous experience in medical office environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
