What this opportunity involves:
JLL is seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of retail centres including Harpley Town Centre, Pakington Strand, and Caulfield Village. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional operational standards, compliance, safety, and presentation of these retail assets.
An overview of the role:
Supervise daily centre operations including facilities management, repairs, maintenance, and risk minimisation- Develop and manage contractor relationships through tendering, work order issuance and supervision
- Ensure building compliance with relevant codes, workplace safety regulations and legal requirements
- Prepare detailed operational budgets and contribute to 3-year business planning
- Conduct regular building audits, lifecycle analysis and compliance reviews
- Maintain comprehensive asset registers with maintenance histories and equipment efficiency data
- Assist in preparing and managing capital expense projects as directed
- Foster positive retailer relationships through regular communication
- Oversee security measures to protect property, retailers and customers
- Deliver timely reporting on all operational aspects of property performance
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
Demonstrated experience in shopping centre operations supervision- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and industry best practices
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills with ability to produce clear technical reports, plans and budgets
- Sound technical knowledge of facility management, property, plant and equipment
- Valid driver's licence and clear police record
- Strong initiative with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities
- Adaptable approach with ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
