The Opportunity
We are seeking a results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a dedicated territory, promoting and selling our full range of school bus body parts to existing and prospective customers within central and western Kentucky. You will play a crucial role in expanding our B2B customer base by traveling throughout your area of responsibility (AOR) and building strong, lasting relationships with local school bus garages.

This is a dynamic, road-based position that includes a base salary and unlimited commission potential, rewarding a high-performing and self-motivated professional. A company vehicle and cell phone will be provided.

What You'll Do

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing customers within your AOR.
  • Route Planning and Sales Calls: Establish and execute a monthly route to service local school bus garages, which includes delivering parts (within reason) during your sales visits.
  • Order Management: Accurately take and submit customer orders to our inside sales team, then monitor and follow up to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues effectively and in a timely manner, collaborating with various internal departments as needed.
  • Product Expertise: Become an expert in our school bus industry products and services to proactively meet customer needs and provide valuable solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities, communicating important information back to management.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate sales activity and customer reports using our CRM software.

What You'll Bring

  • Prior outside sales experience is preferred.
  • A self-motivated, "can-do" attitude with a competitive spirit and a strong drive to succeed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building rapport.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively manage your time and territory.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck parts industry is a plus.
  • Flexibility for overnight travel.

· Preferred residence in central Kentucky.
